What Is a Dental Membership, and How Is It Different From Insurance?

A dental membership plan is a convenient and affordable alternative to traditional dental insurance plans to help you maintain healthy teeth and gums. It provides low-cost preventive care, discounted dental treatments, access to payment plans, and sometimes additional benefits such as fluoride treatments or discounts on specific procedures.

What is Included in a Preventive Dental Visit?

Preventive dental care is an essential part of taking care of your oral health. A typical appointment includes:

  • Examination

During a preventive dental visit, an extensive check-up of the patient's mouth and gums is conducted to discover potential problems that require immediate resolution. Our dentist also looks for signs of cavities, gum disease, or other oral health issues.

  • Cleaning and Polishing of Teeth

Polishing and cleaning teeth is an essential part of any oral hygiene routine, as it helps to rid the mouth of plaque and tartar build-up. During a preventive dental appointment, our dental hygienist will use specialized tools to clean the teeth and remove any debris that may be present, helping to prevent cavities and tooth decay.

  • X-Rays

X-rays are taken to detect cavities or problems between teeth, which cannot be seen with just a visual examination. These images provide a more detailed assessment of the overall condition of your teeth and gums.

  • Fluoride Treatments

Following a professional cleaning and polishing of teeth, fluoride treatments can help protect them from decay and fortify the enamel for long-lasting strength.

  • Oral Cancer Screenings

Oral cancer screenings are also part of preventive care to identify any potential signs of oral cancer before they become serious. Signs may include lumps, discolored spots, or symptoms in the soft tissue.

All these services work together to ensure you maintain good oral hygiene while monitoring potential problems.

What Do the Plans Include?

We offer three plans: Adult Membership, Perio Membership, and Child Membership.

  • Adult Membership

Our Adult Membership offers the best dental maintenance for adults 13 and over, including two professional cleanings per year, doctor exams one to two times annually with X-rays, and one emergency exam a year if needed. You'll have a healthier smile with regular cleanings and no periodontal disease.

  • Perio Membership

The Perio Membership is designed to help those suffering from periodontal disease, offering three to four periodontal maintenance cleanings each year, doctor exams one to two times annually, needed X-rays, and one emergency exam a year if needed.

  • Child Membership

The Child Membership is ideal for kids 12 and younger, offering two professional dental cleanings per year, doctor exams one to two times annually, needed X-rays, one emergency exam a year if required, and fluoride treatments.

All memberships include a 15% discount on other treatments (some exclusions apply).

What Are the Benefits of Preventative Dentistry?
